What a compliment
Last night, very last minute, we had house church at our house. I was rushing around like a crazy woman trying to get everything together about 30 minutes before people were to be here. Including dinner! (we ordered pizzas, so thanks to Papa Johns for getting 4 pizzas here in 30 minutes!) One of the guys, Chris, had never been to our house before and the first thing he said was, "your house is so homey. I just want to jump on your couch and lay down." Now to some people that would not mean anything, but to me it meant a lot. As a stay at home mom and housewife, that is truly the greatest compliment I could receive! I was more than happy to have house church here, even if it was last minute. And then to receive so a wonderful compliment! Blessing...absolute blessing!

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter. On Saturday we colored eggs and made Resurrection Cookies. The cookies were very fun to make. There are Bible versus and things to go along with every ingredient you add. Then you put the cookies in the oven and tape the door shut. The next morning you get the cookies out and take a bite. The cookies are hollow. You explain that they are empty just like Jesus' tomb. Very cute!

Easter morning we gave the kids their baskets and did an egg hunt at our house. Then it was off to church. I taught the 2 yr old class which was such a blessing. This was the 2nd week I taught it and the kids are so sweet! After church we went to my Grandma's house. It is always fun to see my extended family. Every time we go for a holiday there, I just think..."how did me and all my cousins fit in this house?" My grandma's house is not very big and my family is rather large. All of my cousins are older and some of us have kids. It is definitely a house full.
After grandma's we went to my mom's. This was the first time in a very long time that my sister, me and my 2 stepbrother Ricki and Josh (and Josh's girlfriend, Mackenzie) were all there. I thought..."what better time for a family photo?" No one was very thrilled with my idea. I love pictures and this one goes in the books as well...goofy!
We had a great day and what better way to celebrate Jesus' love than with family.

Private Blog
I don't know if any of you have noticed, but I have been getting random comments. DO NOT click on them because I think they are viruses. Anyway, I am probably going to take my blog private unless I can figure out how to stop this. (If any of you have had this happen please comment or email to me of how to fix it.) So, if you would like to be added to the list of people that can view my blog please email me privately and I will set you up on it. Thanks!

My kids are FUNNY!
Carys and Broderick were playing dress up all morning and they came running out to the kitchen to show me Carys in her sun glasses. This is her holding her thumb up and saying "cool!" I love how kids do a thumbs up. Broderick used to do it the same way.
Another funny moment was at lunch, right after the above picture. Broderick was talking to Carys saying, "you and me will always be best friends, right Carys?" This was even more funny to me, because Jenny and I were just talking this morning about how sweet siblings can be to each other. Then 5 minutes later they are fighting over a toy.

The Pirates are coming!
In the middle of our sick spells we did get out of the house for a day. We found these great costumes for the kids that were left over from Halloween. One of Broderick's favorite things to do is play pirates, so when we saw these we bought him 3 different ones. Carys likes to play along so when we saw this outfit for her it was perfect! They have had a lot of fun playing in them. Now we need to find Broderick a prince outfit so he can play princess with Carys!
Will it ever leave us?

Could it be over?
After myself being throwing up on Friday, I think we might be out of the woods. Rob still hasn't vomited yet so I don't want to be wishful thinking. Rob and I were able to enjoy a day and night out last night. My mom kept the kids from about 2pm until this morning. Thanks mom and Rich!!! After 3 long weeks of car trouble and sickness it was so nice to get out. I will be posting some cute random pictures later so check back with me. Thanks!
