Part II (I would say I am a little behind)

Last weekend we took a trip up north. Friday night Rob had to meet some people from work at the Rib and Jazz fest, which was great fun. We stayed the night in the city and then the next day went to the zoo. It was so nice to get away and spend time with our family. Enjoy the pictures below.

A great picture of Rob and Broderick. They love when I want to take pictures of them.

Part I of Our Busy Week

This past week we have done a lot of fun things and a lot has been going on. We started the week just playing at home. Here are some pictures of the kids playing in Carys' princess castle she got for her birthday. More than anything, Broderick loves to sit inside while Carys rings the door bell, then he opens the door for her to come in. She just thinks this game is very funny.

Also within the last week, Carys has been trying to walk. She is getting better and better everyday. At the beginning of the week she would take like 2-3 steps then fall. (that is what the pictures are below.) Saturday night and since then she has been taking like 6-8 steps. She will stand up and laugh, because she knows what she is about to do. I just love this age, everything is so new and fun. Here are some pictures of her at the beginning of the week.

This one looks way worse than it actually was. She didn't hit her head or anything. She didn't even cry when she fell. I love that I caught her mid-fall. She really was fine, I promise!

Happy Birthday Kyler!

My nephew, Kyler, turns 5 today! I really can not believe it. I remember so well when he was born. I love being an aunt to him and I am so glad Broderick has him as a friend. I pray that Kyler grows to love Jesus and one day accepts Him as his Savior.
Happy Birthday Ky-Bud!

Fourth of July and "other"

We had a wonderful 4th of July and weekend. Rob took Thursday and Friday off for some special family time and it was great. We started the 4th off at the local festival. Gotta get me some carny food whenever possible! Then we went over to Jenny and Ben's for a cookout for dinner. The kids had a great time playing outside, so did the adults! It was a beautiful day! We ate lots of good food, probably more than we should of, but it was all worth it. I even got to experience a "Frank family favorite" Potato salad. Not just any potato salad, the special potato salad. Thanks Nancy!
Here is Broderick and Carys sitting on our front porch! They look so cute and patriotic!
It is so hard to get a good picture of Carys and Beckett, but this one was worth the effort!
On Friday we went to the Indy Children's Museum. They have Dinosphere! Do I need to say anymore. Just look at the expression on Broderick's face, I think that says it all. I highly recommend the museum if you have young ones. It was a whole day of fun. Even Carys enjoyed the dinos. She was even making dino sounds.
(Pray she doesn't turn out to be a tomboy.)
This is a picture of the outside of the museum.
It looks like the dinos are busting out of the walls. It is very cool.

Party Time

We had Carys' party on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. I did a Garden Party theme. We had butterflies hanging from the trees, flowers on the tables, a caterpillar sandwich. Carys of course was the birthday princess and she loved every moment of it. She got a lot of nice gifts and enjoyed playing with the boys below.

One of her presents was a princess rocking chair from my sister (below). My dad got her a Disney princess castle for outside. (I will post pictures of that later.) If you can't tell Carys was eating up all the attention.
Here is a picture of the bigger kids. They enjoyed the party also. We set up the bounce house for them and they played with the castle as well.

Carys didn't really get into the cake at her party. She did however blow out her candle by herself. After Broderick below it out and I re lit it for her to try. It was great!
Here is the party girl being a socialite and playing with her friends.
I had a great time planning the party and can't wait to do it again for Broderick. Seriously though, if I could, I would be a party planner or wedding coordinator. It would be so fun.
